SITUATIONAL AWARENESS FOR DRONE THREAT
First detection is sensed by Retinar OPUS Radar in KAPAN Anti-Drone System. The target drone, which is detected and started to track, is identified with the thermal / day cameras of Retinar OPUS and afterwards more precise positioning and tracking are performed. More than one Retinar OPUS system can be used depending on the characteristics of the area to be protected. In this case, by the Retinar C2Net fusion software, the targets can be fused and viewed as a single track on a common operation picture. The direction and position information of target drone provided by Retinar OPUS can be assigned to the most appropriate one of the other components of the KAPAN, which are RF jammer or laser system.
The countermeasures to be selected in accordance with the condition of the environment, either the RF jammer or the laser system, or both, engage with the target and destroy the drone. Different sensors and countermeasure components can be mounted on a vehicle, on a mast, etc. or it is possible to integrate each component in different amounts according to the requirements of the area. In this way, effective solutions can be achieved both in terms of performance and cost.
